The 18th International composite materials conference looks forward to industrial development

the 18th International Composite Materials Conference (18th ICCM) was held at the International Conference Center (ICC) on Jeju Island, Korea, from August 21 to 26, 2011. The conference was hosted by the International Committee on composite materials and hosted by the Korean Society for composite materials. It attracted more than 1600 scientific researchers and graduate students from 47 countries engaged in composite related industries to join the igauto project, setting a new record for the number of participants in previous sessions. new ideas - new paving design scheme

Professor Stephen Tsai from Stanford University mainly introduced an unbalanced and asymmetric layering method, which can reduce the weight of the structure and save costs

in general ply design, the commonly used ply has four different angles: 0, ± 45 ° and 90 °. Investment and support should be increased. Professor Tsai suggested to use [0/25] double ply structure to replace the above common plies, and the thickness of each double ply is only 1/2 of the common ply thickness. Through the calculation of the bending torsion coupling matrix, [0/25] double ply structure can effectively reduce the internal stress, so as to realize the unbalanced and asymmetric ply design.
